Is Circumcision connected to erectile dysfunction?

Circumcision is defined as a surgical procedure, which involves the elimination of a portion, if not the entire foreskin of the penis. This method has been practiced by the ancient Egyptians and is also a part of the religious observance of Judaism. It is also widely practiced in Asia, Africa and in the U.S.

World Health Organization implied that thirty percent of the global male population are circumcised and are mostly Muslim. It is generally performed from birth through their twenties.

However, articles on men’s health state that males who have not undergone circumcision are unlikely to suffer from erectile dysfunction. Furthermore, studies say that men who have had circumcision will have a greater probability to suffer this organ malfunction. This finding has been backed up by research and a survey conducted by renowned medical practitioners.

Additional reports say that circumcision causes a number of male genital issues, which include decrease of penile sensitivity and early ejaculation. A Denmark study states that males who have been circumcised are more prone to suffer this erectile dysfunction instead of benefiting its supposed therapeutic purpose.

One intensive analysis of five sexually incompetent circumcised men came up with the same cause of the impotency – circumcision. They have undergone same tests – physical and psychological tests, complete blood count, oral glucose tolerance test, sperm count, iodine and thyroxin test (T4), venereal disease laboratory test, and a urinalysis.

The most probable cause of the dysfunction is the procedure, which cuts the perineal nerve. This nerve is said to be man’s most sensual region, responsible in the erection of male and even the female genitalia.

Another cause of erectile malfunction is the regular friction of the exposed skin with clothing causing the skin to thicken, losing its moisture. This leads to a penis that will be less and less sensitive as the man ages.

This crushingly, woeful issue that affects millions of couples has not been ignored by the medical researchers. Due to this fact which affects millions of men, a wonder drug better known as Viagra has found its niche in the market. It sales skyrocketed due to the need of its function.

The United States are the primary patrons of Viagra, consuming almost 50% of all Viagra. This is due to the fact that this country has the greatest part of the world’s circumcised population.

Furthermore, 2010 report stated the primary country that imports Viagra is Israel. The use of this wonder drug is so prevalent that it is permitted to be considered as an over-the-counter drug. Erectile dysfunction is now being addressed by this miracle drug called Viagra. Thanks to Science.
